Little Pink Apple Pie

Ingredients:

Either store bought pie shell OR if you’re talented, use your homemade pie shell.

5-6 medium sized apples peeled, any type will do, except red delicious (they don’t cook well)

2/3 cups sugar

1 tsp. cinnamon

½ cup brown sugar-packed

1 cup all purpose flour

½ cup butter

Directions:

Crumble: Combine butter, sugar and flour in mixing bowl. Create crumble with your hands. Place to the side.

Pie Filling: Peel and slice apples into mixing bowl. Mix in sugar and cinnamon, stirring with spoon.

Place pie filling into shell and then cover apple mixture with crumble. (If I have an extra pie shell I like to cut out a monogram for the top of my pie, so everyone knows who made it!) Cook pie at 400 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes. Take out of oven and let cool. Garnish with whipped cream or ice cream, and voila! That crumble will have people coming back for seconds!
