Hello, sweet summer!
What does one do on a hot summer day, in Ontario? Find the biggest pool you can!! I found that giant pool in Elora, Ontario! Where is Elora, you ask? It is about 25 minutes away from Guelph, which is 30 minutes from Mississauga, which is 25 minutes from Toronto! (without traffic, of course-one can NEVER predict traffic conditions around here!)
Don't let the Quarry and the Gorge confuse you- The Elora Gorge is for the adventurers, who enjoy a good white water rafting session. For those of us who don't live as much on the edge-there is the Gorge, a beautiful, massive, manmade swimming hole!
If you are an adventurer and got convinced to hit the Quarry over the Gorge, you are able to cliff jump, while your friends laze around in their raft!
It is $6 per person entrance fee, and you are able to bring stuff to bbq, picnic, whatever you wish. There ARE bathrooms, but nothing to get excited about!
Before or after your visit, don't forget to check out the town of Elora, it is absolutely adorable!! Antique shops, coffee shops, places to get a quick bite-the essentials!
Overall, I give this place 10/10-Great for a summer swim, not too expensive and a great place to chill out with your closest friends!
