Crystal Beach: Where Canada & America unite
Crystal Beach is an ADORABLE beach town on Lake Erie where your so close to the states that your phone provider starts to change over to their American partner! I came here two times this summer, since it wasn't too far from home, and the beach was great! The first time I came was in July, the sand was hot, the water was nice-life was good! I returned the september long weekend (which happened to be HOT ONE) and the water was basically bath tub temperature!
What I love about Crystal Beach is that is is such a small town with cute ice cream shops, pizza parlours and Canada/American flags through out! On a lot of the corners there are bicycles used as flower pot planters, all painted different colours! The houses within walking distance to the beach are all little doll houses, with adorable white picket fences and painted fun colours!
I loved it SO much here, I have been looking for a potential beach house, since you are able to get a small house close to water for less then $150,000 Canadian. From here, you are less then 20 minute drive from the boarder, Niagara Falls, Niagara on the lake, and St. Catherine's. There is actually even a biking trail that takes you into Niagara on the lake, if your ambitious!
