Okay- isn't this the cutest house you have ever seen? A friend of mine recommended checking out Grimsby Historic Beach, because she knew I loved anything pink. I was having a day of exploration so I decided to check it out. Grimsby is in between Stoney Creek and St. Catherines and can be accessed along the QEW, exiting on Bartlett. This little gem is an adorable neighbourhood of colourful cottages along the lake, in which i am now currently looking into moving to!
My friend and I may have looked a little suspicious driving around, taking photos of these houses, but come ON, how could you not? This place is a secret, and there are no directions pointing you in the right direction and I would never have known about it unless through word of mouth! The houses are so colourful, I felt as though I jumped into a children's storybook!
After some research, I saw these cottages have been around since the 1800's when a group of Methodists held religious revivals here-and the cottages were once simply tents. As the revivals got more popular, they built the cottages as a more comfortable accommodation. Now, they are owned by residents of the town, and have kept the charm they had many years ago. If you happen to be driving through, stop in and check these houses out for yourself!
